I was in makro yesterday, £10.85 for 20l and another "low cal" veg oil (for those who want to keep there surfs nice an slim) was £10.35 for 20l
I'm really pleased this is going ahead, but is it wise to call someone at the National advice line and get them to confirm it? are we all 100% sure that from the 1st of july we can use 2500ltrs per annum tax free?!?

wonder if we as a club could locally get together and buy bulk and get some sort of discount. I know in my local area (Southampton) there are a number of forum members so if we all got together we might be able to negotiate a big discount ?

Ok have emailed a few locals cash and Carry's to see what we can do, any idea how much you would like to buy in one hit. I normally get 100L at a time as this is easy to put in the back of the truck.Originally posted by popsGO ON then see what you can do

Don't use a funnel use this instead use a lid from the oil drum (plastic drum) and connect a bit of hose pipe to it. Then screw it on, stick the drum on the roof of the truck or top of some tall steps, hose in the fuel tank and away you go. Oh I also make a hole in the top of the drum to let air inOriginally posted by RodLeachIm up for that too if you can sort some discount out!!

Bulk buying of veg ie. 1000L is usually more expensive, on e-bay you can buy filtered wvo from 20p per ltr, you would need to check for ffa`s(free fatty acids) and possibly wash it and i`d put a filter before your orig one to get any rubbish you may have missed, i use a northern tools one http://www.northerntooluk.com/products.asp?partno=5021E
That way you can see any dark rubbish and it has a water trap.
or fit a small clear diesel(must be diesel) filter from halfords in the line before your o/e one.

Would there be any chance in getting them to honour the price at ALL outlets, not just your local one?
Vicki's gonna check out Makro and, oh, the name escapes me now (on the dock road in Liverpool) this week for me.
John, the filler device is an excellent idea!Cutting steps in the roof of the world

Think it's Morrisons that are selling 3 litre containers for £1.79, which is pretty good.
Vicki's gonna check out COSTCO tomorrow cos she has a card for there.Cutting steps in the roof of the world
