Good stuff methane. It's getting it compressed into a liquid form in a usable quantity that's the problem, but production of it is easy enough. Plus, it's totally eco-friendly too, as you're preventing what would usually be just a waste gas from entering the atmosphere.
it messes up the ozone aswel so ive heard, and quite badly at that.

Actually, methane is atrocious from an eco point of view. It's roughly 20 times more potent as a green-house gas than carbon dioxide is. Plus is very combustive, so has to be handled with care.

Me, I'll stick to the veg-oil.
That's what I meant by eco-friendly. You're using it, instead of it just being released as a waste gas into the atmosphere.
Well they used it in the war to run cars on i think, they used to have a bl00dy great canvas bag fixed on the roof to hold it, it suplemented petrol which was in short supply, chicken $hit's a good source for methane, veggie's a dam site easier to use tho,

They experimented with the woodgas units during the war as well, didn't they? Unfiltered, that is apparently quite corrosive, though.
If you usually have your shopping delivered by your Supermarket, why not include 10 x 3lit bottles of veg oil with your order. You were going to pay your £3:50 delivery anyway, and you get your fuel delivered to your door! NICE! Saves on the fuel driving to supermarket.

OK Booker has replied and is willing to deal with us now need to know what quantities people want ? I think 100L per month per person ?so whos wants to dip in there will be no commitment until we're happy with the price
cheers John
I'd be up for joining in on a bulk discount. How would delivery work? Would it be possbile to collect from your's? Currently getting my veg oil from Tesco in the 15 litre drums, get some funny looks when pushing a fully loaded trolly. Although many club card points! Getting annoying with the filling through a funnel bit though. May have a look at local s$$$$py for a fuel pump, then wire it, hose into the drum, outlet into the fuel nozzel and then pump the oil in Next plan is to find a tax free alternative to unleaded petrol for squeaky.
