          • I'm sensing there may be a little water involved in this excursion....

Any tips for helping the Alternator not go bang fizz? is it worth giving it a squirt of WD40 the night before?

Mine "went" at Avalanche last year, but that was very sticky water...

I have a new alternator, after Avalanche.

Electric motors and water have never been best of friends, regardless!

Not done much water crossing, so just wondered if there were any precautions we can take, other than dosconnection and zip tying it up in a plaggy bag!

TBH i would avoid deep water at the moment ..... the water has a lot of mud in suspension which will set like concrete in the Rad causing overheating .
