But yeah how do I clean an alternator? I'm too scared to jetwash it after killing 2 since I've had the truck."B.A." Baracus: "Talk to me, talk sense so I can talk back. Not all this jibberjabber like breaking the peace and all that."

I took the risk and went for it........using a jetwash station in swindon, was worried about mud drying in the rad so that got a good blasting aswell, admitedly it wasn't too close, i did leave a little distance between jetwash and rad!
Went over the engine with some maintenance cleaning spray and voilaaaa...gleaming!!
No probs with myyyyy alternator

FYI
For all of you that 'think' you have cleaned your radiator you might be a bit surprised.
I would suggest you take off the fan shroud and have a look at the radiator core from the engine block side.
I thought I had cleaned my radiator pretty well when I got back but I have just taken the fan shroud off and it is almost solid especially in the bottom corners.Eat.Sleep.Surf.Repeat.
