ok think Ive sorted the wiring stuff as it now cranks over

question on the fuel lines, which side of the engine is fuel feed and return as there what looks like a fuel regulator on each side

does the ecu and ignitors casing need grounding? ie bolted to body

        Passenger side = fuel in.
        Driver's side = fuel return.
There's a fuel pressure regulator on the driver's side, thats a pressure dampener on the passenger side.

ECU doesn't need to be grounded, but the igniters definitely do.

Ive ended up just cutting the oil filter bracket in half with a plan of just tapping a thread into the channels and fitting a fitting

however I dont have a tap that big or even a bolt for reference (or a ruler), only that this an-8 fitting is too big. would a an-6 fitting fit in? and then finding a male an-6 to female an-8 fitting too.... hah what a faff on

            Have you seen these??

            http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1uz-fe-oil...item19f6a63d17

I'd just save a load of time and messing about and get one of those! Had they been as easily accessible as they are now when I did mine, its what I would have used!

great find wish I found that weeks ago, wouldve saved me buying 2 different oil filter adapters and neither of them working but I guess I can use them for other projects

major things left to do I think is radiator, radiator hoses, power steering hoses, make an exhaust and then its drivable

                  did a few bits today

4wd stick now selects 4lo after cutting a bit out the transmission tunnel
mounted the original surf rad and made a bottom rad hose
                  remounted the slam panel
                  wired up a horn

need to make some spacers for the front arb as it hits the prop

also spent a ridiculous amount of $ on silicone pipe, for maf and top rad pipe

had to move the handbrake further towards the firewall and the only way to do that is to mount it on the inside

its all because the back of the head would rest against it as it sticks out about 2 inch, now it sticks out about half an inch and theres half an inch gap
