Probably mate, I'm gonna do the bits I mentioned and then fit another pump I think.

Heres a video of the truck running, the revs being held steady at 2000rpm, the engine blips then returns to 2000rpm and then a shortwhile later dies.

        Any ideas?

I'm thinking of replacing the fuel pump, worth it?

It's certainly a fuelling problem and/or associated electrical control of the pump.
I would try a known good pump.

              That's my plan, cheers.

I've done all the electrical checking I can (limited ability) so I'll try a good pump and see if it fixes it.

When the truck packed in, did the engine stop quickly or did it stop normally (or as normally as it could, given what happened)? I'm still trying to figure out how the pump could have got damaged.

That wee blip seemed to happen too fast to be mechanical, looks like an electrical fault somewhere, but I'm buggered if I know where.

it stopped very quickly Andy, I've bought another pump from mudskipper, see if that fixes it.

I suppose it could have jarred something in the pump.

I hope it's not the pump drive gears, although it runs perfectly sometimes so I'm thinking it's inside the pump or electrical, see what happens when I fit the new pump.
