When the truck packed in, did the engine stop quickly or did it stop normally (or as normally as it could, given what happened)? I'm still trying to figure out how the pump could have got damaged.
That wee blip seemed to happen too fast to be mechanical, looks like an electrical fault somewhere, but I'm buggered if I know where.

it stopped very quickly Andy, I've bought another pump from mudskipper, see if that fixes it.

I hope it's not the pump drive gears, although it runs perfectly sometimes so I'm thinking it's inside the pump or electrical, see what happens when I fit the new pump.
