Went back to the pain clinic today and there is now nothing else can be done as the previous treatment hasn't worked. There was a 50/50 chance of it working anyway so i'm not to dissapointed by it not working.
I will be on painkillers and all the other meds now for the fore seeable future or until they can find some way of healing the nerve damage to the sciatic nerve in my right leg and hip.
I am pleased tho that the treatment i had on the femoral nerve had worked and made a 60% improvement although i do still get pain but its more bearable than it was.
Just need to wait now on the compo to be settled then get on woith life as best as i canhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/henpals/

Hi Stormforce
I can't say I have read all about your accident, but, I noticed you are having pain and nerve issues, I'm in a similar boat after a very nasty motorcycle accident, had the steroid injections about 4 months ago with no joy. Now I'm in a position where they are saying nothing can be done, there's a bright side...
I'm going to see a chap called Dr R Munglani in an attempt to see what can be done about the levels of pain I'm experiencing. From what I can tell he's the top pain specialist in the country.
I would advise you to check this out,
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/ar...onic-pain.html
If you see fit give his secretary a call 01223479024.
Really hope this helps, I know quite how shitty it can be to constantly eat tablets and still be in agony.
Good luck mate.
Luis

I'm on permanent painkillers for my compressed discs. Sciatic pain is no fun.
I just hope you get the compensation sorted soon - read about you being messed around in the other thread.

The last lot of treatment i was told by the doctor that they don't say i should have it done as there is a chance of the pain getting worse due to the type od injections etc being done and where they were to.It was up to me if i wanted to take the chance on it working, staying the same or being worse so i took the chance.I knew the pain would always be there but never knew how much or how little but on a positive side i suppose its better for the compo claim.
The money would be very nice but i have always said i would prefer to be how i was five years ago before the accident as money can't give you your health backhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/henpals/

I'm just looking into disc replacement surgery, but I'm not sure whether it's available on the NHS. Getting all the info I can ready for when I next see my doc.

Pain
Hi Rich sorry to hear about the nerve problem and the pain it causes as you know i have suffered for the last 36 years with pain, its the one thing that they can not measure is pain so they can not put a fixed price on it.
No matter what they offer it wont be enough just get it reviewed every 12months or so.
