  • My accident update

Just got back from hospital after seeing a neurosurgeon about the continuos problems with my right leg after my accident at work 3 1/2 yrs ago.
There nothing that can be done to the nerves and he says that the problem has arisen from the accident which is what my solicitor wants to hear.
He can't understand tho why several nerves have been affected tho going by the couple of test he did.
So the long and short of it is now that my solicitor can press on with my claim and hopefully i can get some decent compensation out of it. I don't think i will ever be going back to my contracted duties again out on track again.
So at least i have now got the answer i have been waiting for for so long

Cheers Steve.I will be glad when all the legal stuff is over and i can then plan what i am going to do in the future as work ain't going to keep paying me what i'm on if i can't carry out my contracted duties anymore

I spoke to the works occupational health department and gave them an update and said that i just want to be told straight when i go for my next works medical if i am going to be able to work my contract or not.
She said to me that they don't want to put a downer on things so i said i've been on a downer for 3.5 years since this started and by being told straight now will finally put an end to it all so i can plan my future and what i'm gonna do work wise.
From what the works doctor said last time it looks like i wont be able to go back to work properly again so now she has to put it in writting to NetworkRail for them to decide what to do next

The compensation doesn't and never will make up for the 3.5 years or god knows how many more years i will have to carry on like i am now, but it will help to make a difference even if i can't get to buy a small workshop i've seen so i can do a lot more work for myself.
If i could have thousands or my health back to as it was 3.5 years ago i would want my health back.
Thanks for all your support etc since i had this accident and if it wasn't for this forum when i was on long term sick i would of gone completely mad or even worse than i am now
