  • Transmission fluid overheating

Hey guys! I'm new to the surf life and urgently need some advice.

I own a 1991 2.4L turbo diesel automatic surf, pretty low ks for its age at 130,000k
I've recently got the transmission reconditioned as the A/T OIL TEMP light kept coming on. Since then I've driven around 3000k and having the same problem. I have checked the fluid levels and it's ok, colour and everything is as it should be.
I don't drive anything over 90kph however it overheats after an hour or so of driving.
Is this a common problem? And is there anything I can do to fix it?

I think it's worth noting I live in Australia and currently on a road trip. Full service was completed when the transmission was fixed.

    Thanks so much in advance!

Could it be a faulty temp sensor. If not Install an extra cooler before the radiator cooler..

Not sure if this will fit your Surf so maybe ask them.
