Might be petrol powered ..... going to start stripping the head off the first gen on sat .... think we have the correct gasket kit for the engine so it will be suck it and see if i can get it all back together in time .... BTW the boy is showing a interest in Mechanics and i want to encourage that.

Hmmm,
Mine too, but my experiences of green laning have always required 4wd for a t least a couple of sections....

having said that I did drag a 20' xmas tree up a 1:3 in heavy frost/frozen ground and the diff only muttered a bit...

ARB bracket ripped to shreds
Missing wiper arm cover

As stated many times before the plain is as easy or as difficult as you make it and there are get arounds for most of the nasty bits.

About 200 yards south of the roundabout is a graveled byway that we can meet on.

My truck is as it left the factory (20 years ago!!)so all things considered not a bad result.
The tail pipe was made round(ish) again with some pipe expanders
ARB mount less than a tenner
Tow electrics not bothered about as I do not have a trailer

The only thing that is a problem for me is that blemmin' wiper arm cover.


It might get a bit hairy every now and again but as I spend most of the day with a big fuggin' grin I dont really care

Perhaps I should have not taken for granted that everyone knew that you only promoted responsible green laning.


One thing to remember I have found (apart from having easy access to a tow hitch when you are axle deep in mud) is to take some water to wash down your windows and lights so that you can see and be seen on the way home.
