No idea how easy it is to get the factory ECU to run it once you've stripped out all the wires you don't need but i imagine a shedload more hassle to remap than the aftermarket ECU.

    Nice one
The kit comes with a get-you-on-the-road base MAP. Once up and running you can just plug it into a laptop and MAP it how you like it.

I like it when you say 'the camera doesn't pick it up very well' -so in reality it's an even brighter yellow?!

I agree a perspex bonnet is the only way to go - why hide it !

Got to love those shiny headers too....
It's the flourescent lights that 'tone it down' a bit. Looks better in natural light, especially against the satin black.

Bit more than that, as I had to get the following:

          ------------------------------------------------------
          1 x Spitronics Lexus 1uz ECU kit = R3,464.90
Map Sensor Type Required 1 Bar (Normal Aspirated)
          1 x Spitronics Standard Transmission Control Unit = R2,201.75
Gearbox Type Lexus LS400 4 Speed
Speed Sensor Type Hall Effect 3 Wire
          1 x Spitronics USB to RS232 Converter Cable = 200.00
          1 x Spitronics USB Cable - Venus = 200.00
          1 x EMS Courier = 574.00
          1 x Forex Charges = 130.00
          ------------------------------------------------------
          Sub-Total: R6770.66

          or about £380.

Annoyingly enough, right now as the Rand is in the sh!$$er - I paid nearly twice that 6 months ago !

Awesome colour scheme and really like those headers. Where'd you get them?

I have found these, not sure if they are the same but fairly sure the 3uz headers fit.

The 4.7 engine (2UZ-FE) is the same block as the 4.0.
The only problem is the downpipe flanges are different to the stock LS ones.
I'll have a go at cutting some myself out of 1/4" steel with my plasma cutter using the supplied gaskets as a template.

Cheap hole cutter if you don't already have one. I have this one and it works well.

See, now I feel embarrassed. Because you've (Vince) clearly posted those downpipes before and I've been going on about them lately.

Sorry if it seems you've been ignored...there's just sooooo much info to take in

Those are great. I guess if you have to make up the exhaust...doing some flanges isn't the worst thing. Well, not when you have a plasma cutter. Bit harder for me

                            Excellent, thanks Brian.

I did make one similar to that but it was very accurate.

I was thinking of cutting the circle with a hole saw then using the plasma to cut the flange shape.
