I don't use it but I find a lot of the things my daughter does such her karate is updated via their facebook page and not the club internet site. What really rips my knitting is my work colleagues who live their life via facebook inluding posting updates when they are off sick with a migrain

Yeh lots of inane pish on there but it's easily ignored to get to the good stuff, you simply turn off notifications. LOL.

i use both. But i have the highest privacy settings and have friends and family in far flung places so makes it easy to keep in touch with them. Got to agree that it is full of fools as well. also, who the hell has 600 friends.? It seems a competion sometimes as to who can collect the most

I use both. Facebook has its place & the group is great for getting a quick answer to a question - but it doesn't lend itself to big threads or storing & searching information like this forum.

Each has it's place IMHO & i enjoy visiting both
