Bob, let us know how you get on with customs. I'm forever toying with the idea of going back & I'd like to bring me surf back with me. Read their website, don't like their rules for converting to a commercial tho. Seems like they got so much red tape in place to make you fail. Still, fingers crossed.

            Im amazed to be honest.
I was covered for a year for under 400 euro by the same crowd. At the time i was 29 & only had my full driving license for a few months but they weren't bothered!
Maybe the guy you were talking was just a pr1ck? The guy i got my quote from seemed like a fairly sound bloke.
It can come down to who your talking to sometime. I dunno?

nah it was a girl, she said it was also the age of my surf as the main company that insures their commercials doesnt cover yokes over 15 yrs old....

i reckon so, as they are the only one who will insure commercial while its still on yella regs....

                              you got a 2ND OR 3RD GEN???

i have a 2nd gen, and on the VRT system there is an LN130 crewcab, from reading the rules i just have to permantantly seperate the load area from cab, so i am installing a 3/4 inch ply divide carpeted and with a window (from a camper van) in it, so i still have rear view mirror....

this then means you pay VRT at 13.5% and FBD insure me at a commercial policy as my V5 states my truck is commercial in the UK....
