how u get it running?ps have u tried getting reverse in L?

yeah i tried it earlier but no joy.... i just tighted the lower bolt on starter with fingers just wanted to see if it would start, now tomorrow i get out spanners

tried takin it for a drive?only other thing i can think to try is get rear axle on stands,get it in 2wd then try reverse,ie with no load on it?see if it tries to spin wheels?

i cant go for a drive as i drove forwards into my parking area.... if i clear some of the cars tomorrow i will just drive over the kerb and green

neutral and push?might be worth a try is all,does it feel like its gone into reverse?u get reverse lights etc?

i get reverse lights and sounds, dont know if it just me but there's a bit of a clunk going from "p" to "r", not there between other changes

i get a nice reassuring clunk and when u let off brakes?nothing?when u rev it?does it try or just like your revving it in N?ie does it try to move?

nice re-assuring clunk, and when i do let off the brakes, i just rev, rev and rev some more, and annoy the nieghbours......

i thought it tried to reverse for an instant earlier but i think that could have been my imagination

how very odd,assuming yr atf level is ok when running,try taking it for a drive,report back

well i will have to get some vehicles moved then just up onto path and around

If both you and Woodzie are suffering the same symptoms after touching the kickdown, common sense dictates what the problem must be related to. Sod the fluid and find out what problems the kickdown can cause.

i am scared of that no idea how to get into gearbox end of kick down, i can foresee open gearbox surgery this coming weekend

going to check the top end tomorrow .......the bottom is a pig and can only go one whay .....Not bobE onlt touched the top so i would go there

tmr i think i will see if wiggling the top end gets me reverse
