      According to the Aussie manual, Yes, the sensors are an intergal part of the system.

        Have change all the gearbox electrics today .........and one of the sensors ....sill no difference .....there are 3 more electrical connections that i have not touched yet

            Have either of tried another transmission ECU?

            I still think it's an internal fault, either clutch bands or gearsets.

              Changed the ecu as well

                    its strange alright, ah well put her back together tmr and then see... i have reset ecu's already but still have the fault for a/c as previous owner just chopped it out

                          Could be a clue there to your problem.
                          Is the multiplug (8 or 9 wires I think) firmly connected on the transmission next to the shift linkage?

                          The plug connects onto this....

                                Where is that!!!!! i will check, is that attahced to the big lump of cabling i keep pushin out of the way to get to kickdown cable on gearbox
