I don't know why I ever bothered with this site when I got my Surf.
I already knew everything about them, I had owned loads of 4x4 vehicles before and besides, all my mates who are mechanical engineers and were willing to drop everything to come and help me at a moments notice, all owned Surfs as well.
So here's some advice to noobs, don't buy a Surf until you know everything there is to know about them.
Then and only then, can you register here and talk about anything other than Surfs.

Inteligent and witty

Well its nice to see that the Hadrins Wall syndrome still exists, with People like this you find that other users do not want to partake in a forum. You then only get the same old respones from the same old people who think that they know everything about everything point in case Surf's. I am sure that the site organisers and their Mods do not need narrow minded inderviduals that have no interests in pointing out the minor site etiquettee every now and again. I am still finding my way around the site and the quick link part i didnt even apreciate until adpsimpson pointed my very silly mistake.

Well it looks like I have provoked a myriad of responses, I like to be a little fruity with my post for that very reason.

I do believe that this kind of banter is worth while cos eventually when / if we meet you will have something to say to each other.

However if my response has caused some concern then so be it, at least you will all now be looking at my posts in anticipation for another controversial fopar!!!!!

Something else I considered when I got the reaction I did….
I was asking about a New post search function and not having a go at the content of the site, this is why I got confused by the sarcasm, the Site content and lay out is great and I have yet to find a subject that has yet to be covered by someone at some time. I am also in the IT Securtity industry and you can quite easily be offended by an email that was not intended to offend because basically you do not get the feed back you would normally if you were in a face to face discussion. That’s why sarcasm can be taken way out of context when used on a forum.

its more of an abnormal condition

Hadrins Wall disease / medical problem

I don’t feel so bad about my posts now. At least with owning a V6 Petrol I can’t be accused of being common or starting any of those boring diesel related topics like:

Help, Surf has stopped running (because I’m a cheapskate and have been running it on cooking oil).
My head has gone (because my rad got full of mud on a pay & play site).
My 2.4 is even slower now that I have fitted 33” tyres.
I think my door seals leak while wading. Is that why my carpets stink?
I jet washed the engine and surprise surprise, the Surf won’t start
Maroon is the best, worst, a gay colour.

Anyhow, I’ve only got another 7 weeks till the MOT is up on the V6 Petrol and then it will be sold....
I’ll then be on the lookout for a Land Cruiser..... probably a Petrol version

That's quite true. You have a far more varied input with faults, namely along the lines of:
