                              Probably suggesting something thats already been suggested (in which case the irony of posting in this thread hasn't escaped me) Would it make sense to have an email that goes out automatically to newly registered members with an idiots guide to how to use the search function and why its a good idea to use it first? I'm sure most newbies arent meaning to steam in and ask the obvious (in fact I'm sure I did) and get our backs up

                              If the theory is that the newbies wont read this email then could we actually make a search an intergral part of registering.

                              i.e. to complete your registration go to hiluxsurf.co.uk, and search for 'registration code'
                              Once found input here etc. etc.


                              Dont know if its do-able but could work? It may often be that the newbies simply havent noticed the search function (I dont think its available before registerting is it?)

                                Speaking as a newbie I'd say that's an excellent idea, although I did and do use the search function I can easily see where your coming from there.
