laughing was easier than doing this, and couldn't be bothered, but if you insist..all it has is stickers and nice alloys, Its not even a SSR-X Limited, let alone a SSR-G, you'd think a special would be based on the SSR-G

There is no 'sport' body work for a SSR-G, all 3.0 Surfs have a rear load cover, all 3.0 2nd gens have 2 batteries, if its a 'winter pack' where are the heated mirrors and fuel heater?

No cruise either, door wind deflectors, Recaro's, add the rust (they NEVER rust there, would like to know what caused it on that new a truck), dented rear bumper and rubbers missing from between bumper sections, and wrong battery on the near side, ripped seat, its not really much of a special truck IMHO.

Just had its MOT, but has torn CV gaiters and tyres "that need replacing"??

Over Egged ebay ads annoy me.

(oh, PS, I apologise for calling you a dumbass, I'll give you that... )

I had typed out a reply to this last night, essentially saying what Tony said, but not in as nice a way. But I had to go beddy bobs, so decided not to bother with it.

I've no doubt there's another one of these out there somewhere, but it's still not worth £3.5k to me, as far as I'm concerned it went for £2k over the odds. At the moment (until they realise they've been an idiot) it is worth £3.5k to the person who bought it.

To the buyer, the accessories fitted, the prior servicing and repairs, the new tyres etc. aren't worth anything.
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

i Thought things like the spoilers, sunroofs etc were factory optional extras and i got a gold limited badge on mine and some paw prints from the dogs so mine is worth a bl00dy fortune.
Apache you never said you made those paw stickers else i would of had some to of saved the dogs scratching the paintwork.
By the sounds of the extras on that truck they just sound like extras the little Jap guy wanted fitted when he bought the truck from new just like the rest of these trucks as alot of them differ due to optional extras

So thats £2500 worth of extras and I'd be interested to see how much labour you'd have to pay for the install. Obviously I have spent shed loads more than that on maintenace items, cam belt, services, etc etc etc. but I didn't list them for the very reason you've pointed out. I only listed the track rod end and glow plugs because thy're not every day maintenance items and yes it is a quality alarm

No matter how you decide to add up all the little nonsence bits you had in the truck, at the end of the day, the chap who bought your truck paid WAAAAAYYYYY over the odds. Basically ripped off IMHO. What planet do u live on? have you seen the price of cars lately?
Theres one born every day, and all that ,eh?

Dont care what u sold it for really, just dont come on here and try to justify it, as if we were born yesterday.

he may have ripped someone off, but if the buyer's too dumb to do a bit of research then that's their problem. unless the truck dies coz it's a heap of shoit (which would be a different matter) then he's not done anything other than advertise exactly what he's got (or thinks he's got).

then again, maybe the buyer has heard of these john foreskin ltd editions and just had to have one at any cost.
i swear, it was like that when i got here...

If it takes a hokey ebay ad to wow a daftie with money to come and buy your car then thats what has to be done, I'm ###### jealous he got so much for it.

I have a special edition 'DRUMCLOG VETERAN' Surf, it comes with designer scores and dents on the bodywork and authentic mud trapped in places it really shouldn't be.

                    Any offers?
                    Alan

I doubt it very very much, or they would have done more than just put a sticker on the bonnet and one on the boot. Hell, anyone with a vinyl cutter can do that!

<edit> and as if by magic, I just download vector cutting files for 4 variations of the Jack Wolfskin logo. For £10, I'll add £2000 of value to your truck for you

enough of the jim sunbeam....whatever they damm well are.

i have driven mine twice this week, because its "snowy" and have recovered two cars.
i believe this makes mine a limited "recovery special"

but then i can market it as "dash held together with wood screws special"

but ultimately im ebaying it and marketing its "unique" feature.

I fail to see what the seller has done wrong to be honest.
he didn't rip anyone off, he advertised his truck how he wanted to for the price he wanted on an auction website. He gambled and it payed off.
A punter comes along obviously very happy with what he saw and willingly handed over the cash. He wasn't forced to.
It's not the sellers problem that the bidder/buyer didn't research what he was buying.
If the buyer is a member on here then shame on you, if they aren't and have been reading this thread then I don't think they'll want to be now.
