Hmm, I used to work at "Field and Trek" (Outdoor equipment retailer) so was familiar with the brand........just didn't know whether there was a tie-in with Toyota.......

....maybe I'll see if I can get a Rolex sticker for the back of mine......might be worth an extra grand or so.

Wow, £3,500! I think I'll order some Jack Wolfskin stickers from Apache, they seem to add a couple of grand to the vehicles value.

funny, the Jack Wolfskin LIMITED edition spec is the same as my SSRX. Hmm?

Hope he joins the forum, that would be some good conversation....

I am therefore selling my Helley Hanson, No, wait Georgio Armanni, LIMITED edition 3.0 L Surf. Its gotta be worth more than an old Jack Wolfskin. Ive got the stickers to prove it

I can see your point, But i'd be suprised if anyone paid over the odds for it.

I mentioned this post to my Sister when she phoned earlier. She lives in Germany about 50 yards from a Jack Wolfskin Store and is a frequent customer. She told me that it is common to see Jack Wolfskin badges / stickers on the back of all sorts of cars, but especially 4x4’s.

It is perfectly understandable why people would put a paw print badge on a 4x4, it kind of links into wildlife and the rugged outdoors and all that (I’ve got them on my Surf).

I booked marked the “Wolfskin” Surf in my e-bay... it might be interesting to see what feedback is left, especially if the guy has seen this forum.
Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

Its a nasty, squishy, idiots who walk in road friendly thing, what the point? Better off without one IMHO.

If I wanted a nudge bar on a truck, it needs to up to nudging things, otherwise you're just a poser.

Guess what I’ve been a member of this forum for a couple of years, I have to admit I have hardly ever posted on here but I have helped a couple of people with electrical problems. Now as for the posts quoted…

Wow I never knew that, no really f@@k me that is a surprise how could I have missed the fact that Jack Wolfskin does outdoor clothing, you dumb ass! (Yes, there should be a space between those two words).

Damn, that’s also amazing fancy your SSRX having some of the same features, I mean it’s not as if this one isn’t based on an SSRX. Now, let me think, what is that manufacturers do when they make special editions? Hmm, let me think, they put in most of their better features, take some tacky ones out, give it some spoilers, alloys and graphics, sometimes tie in a designer label and bob’s your uncle, fanny’s your aunt you’ve got a special edition!

I personally have seen (and nearly bought) another one of these that was identical to this one. (As in the specific design of split rim alloys, paint colour, interior trim, bonnet and boot badges etc.) Unfortunately the link to the Japanese site that I used to check up on this, when I bought this one doesn’t work anymore. Howe ever, with any luck the guy that owns that Jack Wolfskin Hilux might see this thread and post on here confirming it. Then I would really enjoy rubbing your face in the bu@@shit you guys are spewing.

Oh, by the way are you enjoying the conversation yet?

At this point I must get control of myself and apologies for my language to other users of this site, I’m not normally an angry person but when someone starts slandering me I’m going to react.

Now about that 3.5k, let me just do the math…
Over £1000 worth of alarm system (I’m not stating what it is as that would compromise the security of the Hilux, so you’ll just have to trust me)
                            £250 head unit
                            £300 sat nav unit
                            £50 sat nav CD
£30 for optional sat nav remote
£250 rear screens and wireless headphones
                            £300 alpine amplifier
                            £80 alpine subwoofer
                            £100 for the custom enclosure
£160 (£80 per set) for the infinity kappa 50cs components and crossovers
                            £35 for the rear camera
£75 (guesstemate) for all the wiring and cables
£120 for complete inner and outer track rod ends and tubes
£80 for set of glow plugs
                            £40 for glow plug relay
£200 for two front tyres, yes that’s right it went for near enough my buy it now price so I’m replacing them before he has it.
So let’s see that’s £3070 just there so you could say that the Hilux its self has sold for £470.
Oh, and let me think, I nearly forgot it’s got a recon engine in it as well, how much is that worth?
I have a very strong conscience and I am not a rip off merchant and never will be. So please stop judging me by your own low standards.

But I’ve never heard of a link between Jack Wolfskin and Toyota. Must say that I’m a bit sceptical about this Surf. Where are the logos?
Now that PDR is a fair enough post.

Unfortunately it does not show on the photos on Ebay but there is another much larger badge on the bonnet and below is a photo of it. As you can see from the cracking it has been on the Hilux from new and it is not simply a sticker. I know that in itself might not mean that much too some on here, but I can assure you it is genuine and such a model did / does exist.

If I can resurrect the link to the Japanese web site I will, and I will also keep searching for another Jack Wolfskin model, as I know personally that there is at least one more out there in the u.k.

In the mean time to those that like the truck I’d like to say thank you for your comments and I personally love it and will be sad to see it go. For those others, perhaps you might like to think about what you’re saying and how you might feel if you were on the other end of it,
                            Simon.

                                obviously a quality alarm then

mate, seriously good on you if you got £2k more than it's worth for it

even if it is a genuine special edition £3500 is way over the top, and i hope whoever bought it is either loaded or so happy with it he doesn't mind being a mug

half your list is just maintenance items they add no value to the truck really. and the other half all sound like aftermarket items to me, that maybe put £250 to £300 on the value of any vehicle they're installed in.
