HAd the meeting today and i got a reprieve for 3-4 weeks as the area manager is off sick so nothing can be done.
The union rep was good and there is a vacancy at out Par depot near
St Austell and the bosses are wanting that post to be put at Plymouth or Exeter. On paper it is still at the Par Depot so my name has been put on that job untill the unions and networkrail have had consultations. The union rep is going to get a full time union guy brought in now to take over my case and fight to get this post kept at Par.It will mean an extra 40 mile a day but if it keeps me in a job then so be it.
Networkrail have stated tho if this post does go to Plymouth or Exeter then it will be offered to me and if i refuse it then i will be laid off straight away due to ill health.
So here's to the union if they do the job right i will still have a job.
What a weight off of my shoulders today but i'm still not out the woods yet tho but one step closer
