Veggi filler
Decided to start again, not happy with the outcome so I am going to cut the top bit (where the cap screws) off then saw down at an angle, weld a filler from the scrap yard then reweld the filler bit on.
May have to get some more oxygen, used a lot yesterday. Stainless brazes with brass braze OK if you do it quick, if it blackens, forget it.
Going to do it in mild steel.
Will post pics when done.
I am going to see the service manager of the local vauxhall dealership who I have known for about 20years and see if any of their bolts will do the biz, if not then the scrap yard till I find one that will.

the neck on my tank's about 3", why they made em so big god knows, i'll do the filler like yours, it's connecting the tank supplys thats the trouble, either i link em via the sump drain plugs, use a changeover valve, or a pump to get it from the rear tank into the original, dunno about that bit yet
