seriously that's bad news about your hose.
I'm not really intersted in Costco cos you have to pay to join. Mind you if it was that cheap i'd pay to join - if I could pass their entrance test lol
I use Makro mainly as I have a trade card for them already.
Lidl is another good source (£0.43).Dave

Cheers Slug, just about full to the brim with knowledge now having spent 16 hours reading over the past few days...
now the only Q left is - how much of a pain is it to refill and is it worth the extra time. Once I have answered these - I'll do it.
Considering a gravity fed 1000l tank on shed roof....or hand pump.
Anyone have any novel time saving ways of filling the Surf with the veg oil ?
Cheers.

thing is, you gotta get the oil into the larger container and then into the motor... also risking contamination from rain / general dirt...
i'd just buy it in 20l drums and keep then sealed till you wanna use them, then just use a funnel to fill up.
they're also easier to transport if you're gonna need to fill up when you're out.nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!

You can get a Barrel pump

There are electric versions as well. you just drop the pipe into the container and go - saves picking up drums.
Not used them for veggie oil but they are used for deisel on construction sites etc so should work fine
