Absolutely, I love my surf, my kids love the surf... Even the wife likes it.

I can't wait to drive it, I miss it when I have to use the tube to get to work, I can't wait to get back to drive it. I try to find excuses to drive it when I should really be doing other things....

Would just like to 'lavish' it some more.

      you need a "dave"!!!

the od button should be where i don't keep turning it off with my knee.
the seats shouldn't be covered with old towels.

The clock, definately the clock. Also interior cubby holes. The only thing that I like about Discos is that they seem to have hundreds of little spaces that you can stuff any manner of things. Other than that I love my Surf, and would only change her for another (3ltr).

The 3rd Gens front seats, I'd change em back to the far superior ones used in the 2nd Gen.

ive not had mine long but i would like to change:
front speakers... the originals have fallen to pieces and sound horrendous
rear bumber is chrome but has been painted black... the paint is flaking off and needs re spraying properly with primer etc. all I want is a chrome bumper to match the front. if anyone wants to do a swap....
rear wiper blad... its knackered.. needs a new one.
oh, and more cubby holes.. theres a definite lack of them on the surf. ( I had more in my MR2)
Id change it to a 3.0L as well but i couldnt afford the insurance.
oh... yes that rear numberplate, ive got a british sized thing in a jap sized hole... looks bad.. if anyone can tell me where to get a jap sized plate made up would be much appreciated.

1 i dont have a mother in law and she would s*** herself if she drove with me once so that wont be a problem

3 i have to do the weekly shop... and its not so bad gotta protect my sub from forzen chicken attack now tho...

4 wouldnt your boss just think he's paying you too much and refuse your pay-rise request?

OD button should be the one on the top of the stick really on autos and the button to move it should be on a trigger on the front (bit like a joystick lol) *starts shooting space invaders with gear selector*

Used to have a Disco (mk1) and would only change the seats on my 3rd gen - everything else is great, I love it.

Just need to know where the next 3rd gen, manual box, 20K miles one is coming from

I would change the price - they're far too cheap for what you get
And oh yes, I'd have Mel Gibson to drive it - come to think of it, he might be better on the back seat but that's another story!!!!

Just remembered one more niggle - change the way that every time you open a door in rain or snow you get wet or your seat gets wet.

The main thing I would change on my 2nd Gen is the cup holder. It's placed so that when it is in use it hides the heater controls. It's also in the perfect place, by the vents, for warming up your cold drink and it could do with something to hug 500ml bottles. It takes the burgler king/McRonalds cups OK though.

The other thing I would change is the position of the air con rad. Why put it under the bash plate where it becomes a recepticle for sand, silt, clay, chalk, marine life etc?
I must be abnormal. I have no probs with the clock.
                              It's only a hobby!
