What would you change on your Surf?

If you could change just one thing in the design of your surf what would it be?

I would change light stalk so that when you knock it onto full beam you could reach it while still holding onto the steering wheel. That Jap designer must of had some long old digits....Not bad if thats all I could come up with..

The crappy speakers that have both gone pop!

The seating position was a bit odd at first like your in a go kart got used to it now though!!

Err oh yeah and I'd make it 2" wider and longer as whatever we try to fit in the back is always just 2" too long or too wide!!

Apart from that shes great!

Errrr, thats more than one isn't it...

While we are at it, side steps that go up the side so that you can get onto the roof...
OEM snorkel, diff and gearbox breathers...

I would have liked it to be about 2/3 inches wider and just a little more leg room. Apart from that I am very happy with it

The rear window/tailgate arrangement. I think it`s totally stupid that if the window relay or motor go tits up you can`t get into the back at all.

1) The Clock position

2) The areodynamic property that means if you got the back window down you get the full benefit of your own exhaust - how wonderful on a long journey when you running Veggie otherwise known as surf induced hunger

I'd change/swap the indicator and wiper control stalks - so when it starts to spit with rain I don't intermitantly turn left!!!

make the back so it opens sideways and down (duel locks and 2 sets of hindges activated by the locks),
all windows with a "auto" option,
Center diff on 2nd gen,
More power (tho i wouldnt be able to insure it then ),
more mpg,
Bigger fuel tank or 2nd tank like on some jags,
rear mounted and underslung spare at the same time,

thats all i can think of for now...
