so i need parts 27020-54411 and 2930054050 which are the alternator and vaccum pump assy that fits my 90 surf. im talking to a guy who has a 91 surf with same engine, would this be the same part?...

There is excessive play on the nearside of my 1994 3.0TD Surf, at three areas indicated by the arrows in the pic below:



I'm assuming replacing the tie-rod assembly (eg. this from milners)) will solve the problem at the green and red arrows but what do I need for the play...

We need a rear axle for a KZN130 2nd Gen 3.0L surf. The axle code is G294 which I think translates to a differential size of 8.0", final ratio of 4.1, and a 4 pinion set up. This ratio number is found on the VIN plate in the engine bay and should match ours (G294).

She has a cracked gearbox casing so is being stripped for parts.
Engine has 98,556 MILES on it and had a cambelt change at 92,415.
Can be seen running at present (and test driven round the farm)

The problem is, that when I slide the heater slider, it doesn't have the right movement because it has a piece missing, which it 'hinges' on, almost could be described as a 'bolt' shaped object....

Ok so if I Manually select 4wd, (by turning the mechanism by hand until it's completely engaged) and leave it engaged, I can use the free wheel hubs, to dis-engage the front wheels.

My question is: What will this do for my MPG, and wear'n'tear on the transmission, until...
