Okay, thanks for the replies lads. The route I hope to take is from Woolsingham along to Frosterly then head towards White Kirkly and the Bollihope mine route.

Back into Frosterly then take the Stanhope road and head up towards Ireshopeburn, off the main road and then a green lane past the Burnhope Reservoir. Back onto the main road and head through Langdon Beck down towards High Force waterfall, pull off the road into Bowlees park.

We can then head back the way we came and carry on through Garrigill and on towards Alston where there are another couple of green lanes, one is a bit rough so we can decide on the day if we take it. Normally end off at Hartside cafe for a cuppa, a sausage sarnie and a natter.

Alternatively from Bowlees we could head back past the Burnhope Reservoir and then through Westgate up to Rookhope, across some disused quarries then into Blanchland and finish off at the Derwent Reservoir.

We'll just see how the day goes. It's nothing too strenuous, just a good start to local off roading. Hope I haven't bored you to death with the details!

By the way I'll be following the routes I have on Memory Map, so if we get lost it all part of the fun!

Hi Aaron, no problem with Landys mate. Used to go out with them all the time, in fact I was the only Surf! Should be fine number wise, I very much doubt if we'll get more than 6 trucks.

          So far I think it's:
          Scorpion
          Weldaboy88
          Aaron
          Silva Surfa
          Aarons mate.

Weldaboy, no problem mate. You can bring any 4 x 4 you like! I'll give you a text nearer the time but I can confirm it will be Sunday the 21st of March.

Looks like we may have a decent turn out.

Nice one lads, just to confirm that everything is still on for next Sunday, the 21st.

Just been double checking my Memory Map routes today. Had a run out last Sunday up to Blanchland and the weather was great, a nice spring day. Drove a few miles higher towards Huntstanworth and the snow was still 6 inches deep at the side of the road!

Bring a camera and some sarnies and we'll make a day of it. Will post up the final details on Friday (won't be much different from what I've already posted).

Weldaboy, will ring or text you on Saturday just to confirm mate. If anyone wants to get in touch, email me at scorpion-gb@hotmail.co.uk for my mobile number.

                            Jim.

If I can keep the old truck running I will be along as well. Jim did you say 6" of snow near Blanchland, if you had taken the Stanhope road it was still about 3 feet deep at the roadsides on Saturday. Alas the ford at Stanhope remains closed. Hope to see you on Sunday. Wolsingham market place isnt it at 10.30?

                                Cheers Spoggle
