Now all we need is for Ian to arrange for a couple of X5s to be with us - well we could all do with towing out practice

I still cant confirm if I can make it yet. But I'll check Woodzies route and can give Trev a memory map overlay, if he fancies heading a group?

Thanks for the offer of riding shotgun Trev. Will let you know as soon as.

What type did you get 27/81 or CEPT or old AM as will try to pick some thing up before we go. I have PMR446 handhelds and 2mtr (ham radio) in the truck so a CB could fit in place of the 2mtr rig just need to know what type you have ? Cheers John

Tis a 27/81. Old stlye, slightly bigger than din size, but I manage to fit it below the radio after I removed the cubby hole and trimmed a sliver of the trim.

Used it on the campout to great success.

@John. Can you tune my new one when its fitted? I haven't got an SWA meter.

yes not a problem proberly got an old one you can have if you want one always picking them up for the meters to build other band SWR meters. I'm bidding on a 80ch CB at moment will know this friday if its mine. If all else fails could put my ham rig in the truck that (with a flick of a switch) will cover the band. Just give me a shout on here when your ready to do it, around most afternoons including weekends

Ok CB sorted just won a 80ch handheld on fleabay, so able to do both sets of frequencies now and don't need to worry to much about fitting it in the truck. Oh am I looking forward to the 4th hope some of this water will hang around till then.....
