Plus a bag of kiln dried sand, £5 from a builder's merchant and compressed air, obviously.

        :o

        That is Amazing!

Vince, the sheer amount of time and effort you've put into this build already is incredible!
Reading the other Lexurf threads, despite the comments I wasn't expecting anywhere near this level of detail.

        Friggin' Brilliant!

P.S. take it I need some breathers unless there's a slow cooker mod for the Trans?

          Breathers?
Are you going to be dunking it in the nearest mudhole as soon as you get it back home??

          Some more pics...

Cleaned all the gunk out of the valve covers...

          Refurbished the throttle body/VVTi doohicky...

This part keeps whispering to me, "Polish me, polish me...."

Alright then, how hard can it be......

          A half hour later.....

Looks like it's gonna take some time.

Oh and I found this video/soundbite I did of the engine before I yanked it out.

              got to say... Very excited!

I will endeavour to keep it as Shiney as the day it left you sir. That said, don't do yourself in with the polishing.

Vince will you be about Sunday @ 4ish? dropping the bits off.

Yo, got the bits and on the way back now can make it a round trip if you don't mind us turning up about 9:30? No worries if not.

The recaros aren't as nice as I'd hoped.
Need new foam on driver and passenger.
fabric needs seeing to on driver and rear section...

Got some nice wind deflectors though.

Done the dash clocks and managed to illuminate all the needles too!

Extended all the wiring and fitted the controller where the idle-up switch was.....

Cleaned and swapped the seat bases over on the Recaros too.

That looks amazing mate, Jaw isn't coming off the floor anytime soon.

You cleaned up the recaro's really really well, the whole interior looks new!
The colour change to the shroud behind the steering wheel was a good idea, brilliant with the new dials.

Great progress, now I gotta clean up the keyboard.
