You called ?? and the polish, dont forget the polish. Play in the mud by all means, enjoy the truck to the full, but a hoover and wash afterwards please !!! that truck deserves nothing less

Another modification worthy of a Blue Peter badge.

The extra gauges are hard to see on a bright day due to reflections, and they reflect on the windscreen, because they're illuminated, at night.


So, take two spray can lids, I used these cans because,
A. I needed some upholstery cleaner.
B. The lids were black and the correct diameter.



Cut lid at an angle...

Cut hole in top.....

Remove pointer rings from gauges....

Fit can lids over gauge faces,(Obviously only cut a large enough hole for a tight fit) and re-fit pointer rings to hold them on...


Reflection is muchly reduced, plus they're easier to see in daylight.

Had an advisory though, all four tyres!!


It's still getting hot, (but only when driving it like a hooligan) I'm thinking it's the rad, maybe treat it to a new one? Normal cruising it stays at 85 degrees.

Only other issue is the tacho, it seems to under read for some reason, will investigate later.
