Lovely, 4wd working too and no fault codes logged!
I've connected up the existing engine check light on the dash, it's next to the Normal/Hard light and isn't used on diesel surfs.
you see vince, she doesn't want to leave you!
I'll just get the 8.37 to victoria and cab to paddington. I reckon I'll be holding my breath all the way.
Didn't get there!
Bl00dy thing wouldn't start, cranking and cranking, nothing.
Turns out, the fuel pump wasn't er, pumping. I had no reason to suspect it as I've wired it the same as the last one. Pulled all my wiring apart and checked it over three or four times found nothing wrong.
Put 12v direct to pump, nothing!!!!!!
Thought about dropping the tank, but I had just put three gallons of fuel in it, so I cut a hole in the floor!
Sorted now, it was the earth wire to the pump. I connected to an existing earth when I fitted the pump/tank and thought nothing more about it, black wire attached to the body, sorted.
However, that earth connection wasn't sound so no fuel getting pumped.
Just got to connect the power steering hose in the morning then go for the MOT.
