  • yet ANOTHER starting problem

since the onset of the cold weather when i go out in the morning to start the motor its almost like theres no fuel at the injectors, eg it cranks and cranks then picks up on 1, 2, 3 and then all 4 cylinders, the glow plugs are working fine, theres no fuel leak from the pump or any of the injectors and i've fitted a non return valve between the filterhead and the tank as i thought it may be syphoning back that way, could a leaky injector let the fuel drain back to the tank on the return line and therefore the system basically has to bleed itself each time i try to start it??

If you can pump the bleed valve on the fuel filter before you try and start then it's possible you have air getting in somewhere..

first thing i checked and yes they are all working correct, you'll be able to pump the pump on the filterhead once its been running anyway as when its running it creates a vacuum between the injector pump and filterhead so you will lose any pressure you've created!
