Yep. FYI. This sensor really has nothing to do with the turbo except for sensing the pressure from it. The turbo will work regardless, as it's purely a mechanical turbine. The sensor tells the ECU when to add more fuel. This is where the extra power comes in. Without the sensor connected the engine just runs leaner.

that would explain the lack of power alright i do have some other question regarding my list of mods but will leave them for now

oh what the hell will ask one was thining of extending diff breathers etc so i can go paddling and may add a snorkel when doing the intercooler

whats involved in getting everything that needs to be above the wheel arches

The diff breathers are easy to do.If you got a body lift the front one will be easier. You can get the breather unions from Toyota and the pipe from B&Q or somewhere. Then run both up top the engine bay and put one of those little petrol filters on the end to stop any crap getting sucked in

I thought that sensor (the one in the pipe by the filter) was ambient air temp rather than flow. I suppose if it is heated, then it could sense flow by means of wind chill, but as there's only two wires I dont see how that could happen.

Yep, it's a temperature sensor, not air flow.

Yep. It makes warm air cold. If working that is.

lol ight on dash and fan under the egine spins up but just warm air i assume it just needs a regas but after reading a couple of posts seems there MAY be an issue as to what gas has been used in the past dont know when it was last working

                          1. any way of telling what gas is being used
                          2. any easy way of telling if i can get away with an aircon can from halfords
                          3. any body had theres done recently near manchester if so where and how much

(edit) read some more postsand seems the engine revs should increase they dont any ideas
