Spots The Problem?
been reading these overheating threads and it seems like a high percentage of 2.4s get this problem often inexplicably, happened to mine a week ago, had pressure test, changed thermostat, replaced rad cap (Havent flushed yet) no water from exhaust, no water in oil, checked radiator for crud, checked for obstruction of wind flow between radiator and grill. only happening on long journeys I am wondering if it is possible that the spots on the bull bar maybe restricting air flow just enough so that it is a slow build up of heat culminating in over heating after high number of miles?
