Sorry for not explaining it properly, and taking up so much of your time.

Is this serious, how do I go about rectifying it?

You'll need to buy a new set of injectors and change them all ( not worth changing just the one due to uneven wear etc)

You'll either need to take that injector to a specialist for repair, or get hold of another injector. Probably be better to replace them all if you're replacing one.

Yes, really struggles to start in morning, a lot of grey smoke once it eventually starts.

The other thing to check is your glowplug fuse. There should be an 80A(?) fuse for the glowplug in the engine bay fusebox.

I just got a big round pleated foam thing in mine with a metal plate on the top and a wire cage round it. How do i know if it's blown?

It'll be a pig to start first thing, and be lumpy till it warms up.
