    I've just re-read the first post, and I get this hilarious thought that he was trying to remove the valves!!

      He'd have to have removed the rocker cover for that, though. Not being sarcastic, but no-one could be such a plum. (I hope).

        Not sure if that was a hilarious thought but i been watching this thread with interest, thinking similar thoughts, but about the injectors. I was even considering having a look through the EPC on the other computer to see if i could work anything out. I didn't say anything cos i'm no mechanic, so don't really know what's what in there. But i did manage to do my glowplugs.

            Does sound like an injector has been modified !

                      did you refer to a manual first, if so what did it say to do ? only trying to get to what you thought you were doing versus what you actually did.

                          That definitely sounds like an injector. Was the other part of it still bolted into the engine? Did you remove a metal pipe from it before unscrewing it from the engine?

                                If it had a metal pipe connected then it was an injector, but if it had a wire to it then it was a glow plug, yes/no ??
