WAIT! WAIT! Dou you guys mean to say that the box section chassis rails/crossmembers are OPEN?
Surely, engineers from the largest car manufacturer in Japan know what the consequences of that would be, and therefore they wouldn't include such a flaw in the design of a car whose duties will at least probably involve submersion in water?
What's the point of Waxoyl, Dinitrol, or even paint for that matter, if the chassis is going to rot from inside out anyway?!
Expanding foam sounds good, so long as it's closed-cell, and bonded to the insides of the rails/members, otherwise... can anyone think of a better harbourer of water? Open-cell foam has another, more common name - "sponge"...
