Everything is open to interpretation and a 'potentially defamatory remark' could be absolutely ANYTHING, as it's all about interpretation. I still find almost all of your points totally pointless and you seem to be of the opinion that I can not voice my own opinion nor experiences. You write a lot of words, but they have no substance and any of the legal implications you suggest and are just laughable.

At this rate I might just publish the email threads, but I fear that the feltching crew has already set up camp and would be blind to what was actually said. If the brain dead sheep want to gang up on me for voicing my opinion then bring it on. Sometimes it's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. Damn, is that another 'potentially defamatory comment'?

In any case, neither you nor they have a case, it's a reflection of my experience and opinion, neither of which can be wrong. But good luck trying to justify your own version of events.

Just on a final note, bear in mind this is all about a suppliers decision to make a point and not give out a part number to me, yet there is 100% clear and documented evidence that they gave THE SAME information to a different user. Hmmm, discriminatory? Possibly.

        Feltching crew?

One assumes that members of such a collective are the one that have a different opinion than you or did you mean something else?
You did seem to base a lot of your contention on opinion and as such I would hope that you would allow others to make up their own minds, preferably without childish name calling.
I did commend you on your choice to list alternative suppliers, a choice I hope you continue with.

Perhaps in the interest of fairness you should let us see the email trail?

(Absolutely correct) I still find almost all of your points totally pointless and you seem to be of the opinion that I can not voice my own opinion nor experiences. You write a lot of words, but they have no substance and any of the legal implications you suggest and are just laughable. (Not at all, I'm merely pointing out areas where you may have said something, that could be construed as defamatory and trying to prevent you from getting yourself into trouble. It's your choice whether or not to listen to any advice, and surely the points would be baseless? Try a little research on cases that have resulted in prosecution based on slander and/or defamation of character and then decide on whether or not the points made - in support of your not getting into any issue - are laughable)

Damn, is that another 'potentially defamatory comment'? (I trust I am not being referred to as a brain dead sheep? - If you read what I have been posting, you will see that it is in defence of you, attempts to stop you from making more comments that are against the supplier for a decision you are aggrieved at, nothing more than that.)

In any case, neither you nor they have a case, it's a reflection of my experience and opinion, neither of which can be wrong. But good luck trying to justify your own version of events. (It's not for me to justify anything, I haven't made any statements or comments, you did - you are absolutely entitled to your opinion, as long as it stays as that, an opinion - remarks made take it away from being an opinion)

(In an open forum, it is the right of the individual to answer a post - when you call a business and ask them for something that may be considered as their IP, they reserve the right to not provide it. They are not the same entity and your example is baseless - so, no, not discriminatory at all.)

              Yes Bogus, more or less.

In an effort to get this thread back on track I refuse to give or take any further bait.

SO.... after tedious cross referencing and help from various others on this site I've nailed down the KZN185 Euro headlamp part numbers. Purchased from amayama . com (good find Yorshire Devil)

              81150-35300 LHS @ £112.82
              81110-35320 RHS @£112.82

That's almost a massive £42 saving PER LAMP than some other friendly online retailers. That saving will allow me to replace the bearings on one axle at least, maybe both if I hunt well.

Their price looks very good, and providing you don't need it for 3 weeks, it's good - but once you add their carriage cost, insurance, import duty and fees, you may find you're £6 better off buying it from your favourite UK parts supplier, and you'll receive it in approx. 3 days too.

Many years ago I drove a UK car to the continent and bought some universal sticker type thing that you cut and stick on your headlight. Maybe Halfords or similar still do it? That would be even cheaper...
                    Cheers

You need to put your enquiry into Anamaya Trading and usually they present an enquiry and if the parts are in stock in the UAE the pricings are very very competitive compared to here but if UAE they can supply from Japan like they did in my case as UAE had no stock but Japan still saved me £40 on the filler neck.

Was good for me but might not be for others and is all dependant on how long you can wait for!
Ah, hold on...are you saying the UAE prices are also original genuine Toyota parts? That changes my assumption, somewhat . Although I'd be very nervous to trust it. Rightly or wrongly.

@Sylux, yes I believe they are Genuine Toyota parts. It's probably mostly about taxes (or lack of) that make them so cheap.

Stick the popcorn on the back burner the OP has said he won't be drawn into any more on the subject.

Mind you it is early days and maybe end of days, this is when all the crazies normally crawl out from under their rocks.........
