Before you order ask Barry about the heads.
I don't think we would sell garbage they do trade on their reputation.

What about that bloke over in Wales?
He does some engine swaps apparently.
Could be worth seeing if he has any 2.4's lying around?

The only 2.4s that come here are dead 2.4s.

Petrol Surfs are the future, just look at what engines are in the majority of the exporter's Surfs in Japan at the moment.

As long as my dirty diesel keeps chugging along I am happy to stick with compression ignition, however that is not to say that I don't have a slowly growing fund for a 1UZ-FE transplant.

No doubt this may well be one thread resurrected in the future.....

This is the confusion, yes it is cheap, compared to a 2.4 one. But it is a 3l one so even if it's a bit of a crap 3l one, surely it's better than a good 2.4?
well, that was a bad idea!

                            Any way of properly confirming wether it's a 3.0 or a 3l?

It's a 3L, 2.8 Ltr head. Hope he has not bent those valves having it sitting on them.

Cool, but I just realised, it ends in 18 hours and I dont have the cash......

So back to the one I posted in the link, eBay 2.8 head....... Would it be better or as good as a new 2.4 one. Bearing in mind a new 2.4 RT one is double the price!
