For what it's worth I'm running about 65-70% SVO in my manual 3ltr TDI 4runner, and just did a brim to brim fill to check mpg.
I'm getting 28.6, and that's short runs, only 4 - 5 miles, parking just long enuff to cool down, then another mile in traffic and so on.

I think that's pretty good.

Wifes got a Yaris verso, and I use two wheels 95% of the time...

I had a 3.9V8 Range Rover before lovely noise horrible at the pump, but as I only do 2000miles pa it's not an issue.

Always annoying that my 1100 bike uses less than the 750 - but the same story going from a BMW 320i to a 325i, bigger engine less gaz to go the same speed?
