so i've maxed out the boost alread dose any one no if i can get the thig remapped ??? and yes i no that will kill off the 50k warrenty on the engine but i think the intercooler will do that any way

Intercooler, more boost, remapped ECU, higher fuel bill... more heat into an already inadequate cooling system, so bigger radiator, better fans...

Just buy a 3.0 and have done with it!

By the way, I very much doubt the ECU will be remappable. It's pretty ancient technology. If you're going to do it properly, you'll probably want a configurable gearbox ECU too for 'harder' changes or all you're gonna do is heat up the torque converter more.

In short, you're not going to get worthwhile increases without spending. Its not renowned for being a tuneable engine.

how much boost can i fun on my 2.4td it has a new ish turbo and the engine has done 17000km (was a recon still underwarrenty) the heads uprated and i'm going to be fitting a shogun intercooler with a bonnet vent soon as i get the chance and dose any one no how much inprovement this will make to the preformance i'm running 10psi right now

Depends on how much fuel you can put in, the temperature of your exhaust gasses, and what you have done to fool the ECU.

well can i do it on the cheap as saving for a v8 (seen it on here 2k all in) and with out trashing me engine as it aint been in the surf very long and the bloke b4 me spent shit loads on the thing

That's because the only way to ever get a 2.4 to go quick is down hill. The steeper the gradient the better.

If you want really quick use a cliff.

i'll not be woryed about economy when i get a v8 (some day) just need to save money so i can get a v8 and it's alot better now it's running 10.5psi you can feel the diffrence and it'll do for now till i got 2k for the v8
