how much boost :S

how much boost can i fun on my 2.4td it has a new ish turbo and the engine has done 17000km (was a recon still underwarrenty) the heads uprated and i'm going to be fitting a shogun intercooler with a bonnet vent soon as i get the chance and dose any one no how much inprovement this will make to the preformance i'm running 10psi right now

Not much more before the ECU decides enough is enough and puts you into 'limp home'.

The gauge on my 3.0 says 14 max, usually around 10-12 normal driving.

3.0's are supposed to be 7.4 to 9.7 factory spec, don't know about 2.4's without getting wet going outside to garage, so that ain't going to happen tonight..

it was 8psi b4 i turned it up only whent to ten cos didnt want to push it b4 fitting the intercooler

what do you want for the controler ? be good to be able to turn it up and down with out a spanner

Im sure ive read its around 11.5 psi on a 2.4 before limp mode occurs.

intercooler shouldnt have any effect on boost pressures.

i ment how much a a diffrence will i feel with the intercooler and and the boost turned up cos i felt ashamed when i whent out in greeleys 3.0 (b4 her fitter the 33's )

You wont feel much difference until you hit a hill.The intercooler will give you a bit more torque and a little better fuel economy.

If Mark's right about 11.5psi before limp wrist mode, you'll have a whole 1.5psi extra - so probably still get outrun by kids on scooters.
