He's creating a warp shell. This will distort spacetine, just in front of the surf. The surf will fill the available fractured space. This will cause a further breakdown of the natural space in front of the surf. The inductive shell will draw the surf forward constantly, until light speed is achieved. Don't forget...I can't view videos. Any how, don't forget that faster than light speed is feasible. Two paired particles have a property called spin. If one particle spins one way , it's partner particle moves with it. This happens instantaneously. Distance is no object to this property, and this has been proved by firing protons down a linear accelerator away from each other and inducing a spin. This means that on a sub atomic level, faster than light speed particle communication is real. Now because there is a magnetic field induced by the (very small) electrical charge, this magnetic field is also able to operate outside of newtons"light speed is the fastet" mantra.
My point is that quote a lot of quantum mechanics are theoretical, but the world of the very small presents us with things that do not obey Newtonian law.
