It's worth remembering that it is the ball joint your spacing. The shear across the rotation that you have "heightened" is now translated to a shear force across the spacer. I have no idea what the sheer strength of nylon is compared to metal, but the notion that the bolts take all the sheer force is folly.

my point is that the spacer is in a constant motion. A body mount has a lot less bending force on it. The ball joint spacer is twisted all bleedin ways.
