it would seem its getting a common thing on ebay now, the things you are describing may seem like alot but are fixable. the same thing happened to me bought surf clearly not as described opened dispute ebay did nothing it broke down on me 10 miles from sellers house, massive trucks thundering past. myself hubby and kids stood on verge .BUT got it home, i calmed called him a few choice words then set to on what seemed endless diagnosing and replacing parts. didnt cost to much in the end and always got smile on my face learn from this steer clear of ebay and enjoy the surf.

he put in a new relay switch for 30 leva, around 15 quid and it now works just dandy!
i have since been informed that 'real' fixers would have replaced it for me 'properly' for around the 1000 leva mark! hmmmm

Rear window problems are rarely serious, awkward, but not serious or expensive. I replaced both relays and the motor on my 2.4 for £20.Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

does one have to clamber over the back seats to get to the workings of the rear window motor??? cant see any other way to access it.... I must admit that the one we have written off is in far better condition and basically the sam age....There is an electric switch for the window too ....but neither the key or the switch will move it....
The seller has given me £75!!!!! I dont want to listen to any more of his verbal diarrhoea....so thats an end to it...Lesson learned ( I hope) Had paid for it with cash with no receipt or sold as seen ....
With a bit of TLC....she will soon be looking like she should be....

Best of luck Shirley.
For a quick test on the back window try this........
Get someone to turn the key in the back door while you kneel behind the tailgate to the left (as you face the rear)
You will find a whole bunch of cables behind the bumper there, which come out of the bottom of the tailgate. (they should be wrapped together so should apear as one big cable about the thickness of a finger!)
While the key is being turned , try 'jiggling' these cables back and forth.
If the window suddenly tries to move you will know you have one or more broken cables in that bundle (a common fault)
You could also put your ear to the door to hear wether the rear window motor is running at all, if it is the glass may have slipped its runners.
If it's not the above, you can access the whole lot from inside the car.
Just pull off the carpet covering the lower half of the tailgate and the rest will become obvious.
Good luck
