It's one of my pet hates,

BUT, the fact is that (in Eastern Europe especially) Jeep seems to be the generic term for any 4wd vehicle.

Sh1t, I've got a 2wd Vauxhall Brava (sorry) and that gets called a Jeep.

I applaud the criticism when somebody calls anything but a Jeep a Jeep.

Even the word for a razor here is 'Gillette' (I've never owned a Gillette, Bic maybe)

does however remind me of another common word usage mistake... ''i am going to hoover'' now, of course we cant say this either, cos its not a hoover, unless it IS a hoover, its a vacuum cleaner, but i have never heard someone say ''im gonna vacuum cleaner the carpet''!

I might add that in living memory, ive never heard someone sat Go put the washing in the Hoover" and im from the late Hooverville. You cant even go "Candy" your smalls here now.

Not that snow is a major prob in wales, but i was under the impression that my chunky 265 . 15 s would see any snow off with no probs, now reading this thread it appears that small and thin are better in snow, though not PC with hardliners on the forum.
Could this also explain my wife aqua planed last week, moderate flood on patch of road, heavy side wind and she was almost off the road.( a well maintained 3 lane rd)
Is chunky tread best ??? and does size really matter.??
