boy, it left me on me last trip up to 'subterra' ... now i fully intend me jeep to wear 'sensible cloths' and store me chunkies in me little garage up top for the while!
purrrrrhaps till i regain that elusive sense o humor back again eh lol
Not that snow is a major prob in wales, but i was under the impression that my chunky 265 . 15 s would see any snow off with no probs, now reading this thread it appears that small and thin are better in snow, though not PC with hardliners on the forum.
Could this also explain my wife aqua planed last week, moderate flood on patch of road, heavy side wind and she was almost off the road.( a well maintained 3 lane rd)
Is chunky tread best ??? and does size really matter.??

Skinny tyres are good for the snow, If you drive a rally car with studded tyres.
Did Clarkson have skinny little tyres on the Hilux he drove to the North Pole?
I reckon you would have been better keeping your first set of tyres on.
Rally drivers fit skinny tyres for snow. There is a certain 'cool' about knowing what you're doing rather than looking like a prat when you're skidding around on massive tyres in the snow.
