Just not sure wtf is going on with it at the mo. Not even sure if it over heated the other day as the sensor is fooked (but is now working again......)

Hubby has given up an won't look at anything on it now.
Engine temp sensors can break and start to work again (in my experience)...
            Get it replaced
I used to go through one every other month... :/

Sorry Bibs had to get to me bed ha ha early start
On and off for a month or so , would bubble up , played with the
obvious stat, cap etc thought I cracked it then after a few weeks
go again ha ha drove me nuts so when it finally went was a
bit of a blessing in disguise to be honest, said great ever since .

Same as you , thats why I spent out on her rather than loosing
                her to the scrappy.

Look on some of the other postings beware of some of these
"cheap" ebay heads, more trouble than they are worth .

                Chris

Nnoooo that wasn't the temp sendor one - that was for the other one for the fan. Going to rig up a switch so no longer need it.

Soon as vroomy gets hot - flick the switch

You'll need an acurate temp gauge first.

What? By the time you notice the temperature is going high, switch the fan on and the fan actually starts to cool the coolant, it'll be too late.

                                You bash on though...
