You never mentioned, (in this thread), that you were fitting an aftermarket gauge. The factory gauge wouldn't give you advance warning of an impending overheat. An aftermarket one will. He was working on the assumption that you were relying on the factory gauge.

Didn't think I would need to tbh stands to reason the standard one just wouldn't be accurate enough.
