i spent all night googling the product and was on that myeonon.com forum having a read and couldnt really find anything for my particular product. i think its the newest one out hence the lack of comments about it. i could only find one thread about it and the guy said that the screen would only extend half way out.
but this was just one complaint. im praying to Allah that Eonon have taken note of the vast amount of complaints about their products and made the E1025 a lot better and fully working!
i did try to post a thread on their forum saying ive heard bad things about most of their products and if anybody has got the new E1025 but it wouldnt let me post it for some reason. hmm.
anyway its in Heathrow as we speak so should be hear today or tomoz.
im still scared but decided to just wait till it turns insted of trying to cancel.

More than half the stuff bought in all electronic stores these days is unknown brand Eastern gear, and you never notice mass tramples towards their doors with faulty goods. Just because one or more people may have had a dubious experience means sod all. Now stop being such a gay and just use the sodding thing.

As for forums, you obviously will only hear about the bad experiences on support forums. That's why they are called SUPPORT forums.

Just bung the thing in and give it a go, like MattF says it may well be fine, just don't put everything back together straight away, wire it up and play with the settings, switch off and on a few times ect, if all's well put your dash back and you've got your "fancy doo daa" you were after, if not then go through the sending back process.

Like he said try it before you start tearing your hair out, i got the older drop down screen version and although i rip it a bit on here, for the money it's not bad at all, (got mine for around £80) the vid you posted was impressive and the display on that one is better than mine, also mine dose'nt have sat-nav option, you might well be impressed with it!! my main prob was/is that it would'nt power up my rear speakers (amps) so all i have is two 4" fronts, a bit on the tinny side, i also fitted a didgital power aeriel and a free view box (just under the screen in the pic), this works ok BUT it will not work near my house but will work fine near my daughters house which is about half mile away!! we are in a free view area so buggered if i know, pic also breaks up as ya drive, with some decent speakers in the back and an amp upgrade the sound should improve no end, a decent didgital areiel like for caravans will prob sort out the tv, the one i got was also a cheapo aeriel from ebay so cand expect it to be top quality,

your quite right matt. im a VERY paranoid person (for good reason...) and i also have rotten luck when it comes to things like this! hence why i paniced.
end of the day they were all moaning about OTHER products. NOT my one. yay
anyway ive spent all afternoon playing around with the thing and it WORKS GREAT!! i buddy love it! awsome bit of kit. seems very well built. good finish on it aswell. the screen goes up and down perfectly and manually adjusts perfectly too.
the DVD player is great. picture is even better than i thought.
it even has a built in mic for when you pair your mobile up to it via the bluetooth so you can be hands free!

well im not going to go on and on and eonon (see what i did there ) and list all the things it has as you can all see for yourselves on the ebay link.
im really impressed with it words cant describe.

your very right about getting a good aerial for it Ian. im going to buy a proper digital aeriel that has a good "high speed" abilitly to eliminate bad recption when driving.
ive just ordered a cheap one off ebay like you aswell for now just so i can make sure the TV side of things works fine aswell. it should do as its the most simplist part on the unit.
another good thing is that the E1025 has TWO aerial inputs! so i can have a cheap aerial aswell as a good one. or 2 good ones! or 2 cheap ones to be as good as 1 good one!

right on to the bad points:
the GPS is OK. its not bad but its not great. however you can change/upgrade GPS software by simply plugging in the SD card into your PC and going online. a lot of Eonon customers recomend the igo8 sat nav software as their preffered choice.
the other thing is that it has 2 audio pre outs. 1 at the back but for some reason it has 1 on the front of the unit? not sure why? if i put more than 1 amp in my surf then ill have to have the leads for the second amp running upto the face of the head unit for all to see?
but im only going to have 1 amp so i dont care

these are the only bad points i can see really. other than those 2 little things its great.
and to think i only paid £230 for it and i get in return:
bluetooth hands free.
sat nav.
TV.
DVD player.
CD player and radio.
4 x 65w
and go knows what else. too much too list!

strongly recomend this unit to anyone!
but i think i was VERY lucky at getting it for £230. they retail at £370! must have just been one of those rare ebay bargins. there are loads on ebay going for loads more but still not as much as the reatil price other internet sites are selling them for.

EDIT: also i was very impressed with the delivery. it was packaged well and i ordered it on sunday from hong kong and it arrived this morning! great tracking service with it aswell. very good ebay seller.

The two aerial thing could be for a tv and radio, I had a freeview box for mine, they're cheap enough on ebay too and no mechanical moving parts to go wrong.

cheers mate. im sure you could put either in there with the right 3.5mm phone/coax adaptors.

im going to look into a freeview box after my dinner. i want it to be a home from home.....always parked outside my home.

sure it's not an input on the front??

usually you'd use a splitter / Y connector to get 2 outputs from 1??... so no need to plug anything in the front.

not sure what its intended to be used for though?

earlier today it showed signs of not working properly. when i turned the car on it switched on but didnt do anything? i turned it off and on again and it fixed itself.
then after the pub i started the car and the screen just displayed a white page? again i turned it off and on again and it fixed itself.
obviously this is not a good sing so i think im just going to take it back and fork out a bit more for a proper branded name version.
